I’m Isabela, an artist, a dreamer, a storyteller without words. Born in Brazil, I traveled the world, capturing movement through dance and photography before finding my truest expression in painting. Scotland is now my home, where my art breathes life into the emotions we often leave unspoken.  

 

My first painting in 2006 was a vision of peace, an oil-painted sunset over a still lake, a cottage glowing from within. A dream I longed to step into. That moment planted a seed. I didn’t know it then, but painting would one day become my way of making sense of the unseen, of transforming what I couldn’t say into something tangible.  

 

In 2019, I faced a silence that nearly consumed me. Postnatal depression. A storm that had no words, only weight. But in that darkness, I found something unexpected creation. I poured myself into every brushstroke, not knowing if I was trying to escape or trying to rebuild. Every failure, every new technique, every layer of paint became a reflection of something deeper: resilience, transformation, survival.  

 

This is how *Eternal Tides* and *Unspoken Realms* were born, not just as collections but as mirrors of what lies beneath. Inspired by the vast unknown of the ocean and the hidden depths within ourselves, my work is about more than what you see. It’s about what you *feel*.  

 

No two waves crash the same way. No two souls carry the same weight. My paintings do not exist to match your home, they exist to awaken something in you. To make you pause. To let you *see* what words fail to capture. The shifting textures, the interplay of light and shadow, the hidden details waiting to be discovered, each piece reveals something new, just as we do, with time.  

 

Art, to me, is not decoration. It’s a conversation. A moment of recognition between the seen and the unseen.
